J. Richard Saas is a founding partner at Tenenbaum & Saas, P.C. Throughout his tenure at Tenenbaum & Saas, Rick has represented a variety of clients in a diverse array of real estate, finance, and business transactions. His clients range from small developers and financiers to large publicly traded developers, lenders, and equity investors in all forms and complexities of transactions. Rick has always had a keen interest in helping his clients close transactions that balance risk and focus on real-world issues or concerns.

Rick formed Tenenbaum & Saas with Mark Tenenbaum with the intention of creating a business-oriented firm responsive to the legal needs of complex transactions while attending to each client’s business goals.

Prior to the formation of Tenenbaum & Saas in early 1996, Rick was a partner at the law firm of Sherman, Meehan & Curtin in Washington, D.C. Rick also previously served as general counsel to South Charles Realty Corporation and assistant general counsel and real estate counsel to Maryland National Corporation and subsequently NationsBank Corporation where he was involved in the work-out and disposition of over one billion dollars of foreclosed real estate assets.

J. Richard graduated with his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Baltimore School of Law, and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Maryland.
