Miriam A. Valoy (“Mimi”) is Of Counsel at Tenenbaum & Saas, P.C., where she represents clients in complex real estate litigation, with a particular focus on commercial lease disputes, landlord and tenant matters, and bankruptcy-related litigation. A seasoned litigator and former Assistant United States Attorney, Mimi brings over two decades of trial and appellate experience across Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia.

Mimi began her legal career clerking for the Honorable Anita Josey-Herring of the D.C. Superior Court, and later served as an Assistant United States Attorney in Washington, D.C. for several years. She joined Tenenbaum & Saas in 2006 as a Litigation Associate and, after several years, launched her own practice focused on real estate and residential litigation. Throughout that time, she maintained a close and continuous working relationship with Tenenbaum and Saas, PC and has remained actively involved in its litigation matters for almost 20 years. Now, as Of Counsel, Mimi brings her deep institutional knowledge and extensive courtroom experience to serve the firm’s clients with the same strategic and results-driven approach.

In addition to her litigation work, Mimi co-authored the Landlord & Tenant Practice chapter of the D.C. Bar Practice Manual, helping to clarify the District’s uniquely complex legal landscape. She has been profiled by the D.C. Bar for her unwavering client advocacy, collaborative professionalism, and ability to turn challenges into opportunities.
